Nurture a Generation of Informed Global Citizens

As an Educator

I specialize in creating inclusive environments where students feel safe, supported, and understood, empowering them to thrive academically and socially.

Through tailored K-12 programs, I work with schools to:

• Promote Cultural Understanding: I help students and educators explore diverse perspectives, fostering empathy and respect for all backgrounds.
• Address Stereotypes and Bias
• Build Safe Spaces for Non-Judgmental Expression
• Support Anti-Bullying Initiatives

My goal is to cultivate inclusive classrooms that nurture a generation of informed global citizens, empowering students to act with compassion, stand resolutely against prejudice, and embrace respect and understanding.

Activities

Listening Sessions for Faculty and Teacher Training

My listening sessions with teachers, administrators, and DEI/DI staff focus on the challenges of engaging diverse student perspectives, especially when students' values and concerns may not align with those of the administration or teachers. These sessions offer strategies to build empathy and understanding across differences, ensuring all voices are heard and respected.

For administrators, I share proactive actions that must take when Muslim civil rights are being infringed upon. For teacher training, I provide teacher guides with best practices on how to support Muslim students effectively, including recognizing and addressing anti-Muslim bias, adopting inclusive policies, and ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.

Campus & School Programs

I offer K-12 programs and targeted lesson plans on anti-Muslim bias for Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. These resources equip student leaders, teachers, and administrators with tools to identify harm, dispel stereotypes, and deepen their understanding of Islamophobia.

My campus work actively involves student life and support staff. I provide educators with in-depth presentations and practical takeaway resources to facilitate meaningful dialogue, with the ultimate aim of creating an inclusive environment where every student feels safe, supported, and understood.

Engaging and Training Students

My student programs are designed to prepare young people for a future where they will face political and social conflicts. Through keynotes at morning assemblies and training sessions, I emphasize the importance of understanding different perspectives and offer practical ways to handle political differences while maintaining respectful relationships.

I address the harmful effects of Islamophobia and how it can shape a student’s worldview. By helping students recognize and challenge harmful stereotypes, I share five actionable steps to becoming empathetic upstanders against anti-Muslim bias. Through interactive discussions, students gain the skills needed to navigate difficult conversations with a well-rounded, informed mindset.

"I just wanted to send another thank you for everything yesterday. I've received additional compliments on your session and several staff members are eager to access your resources. Your anecdotes and warm energy were very well received, and I hope that there are other opportunities for us to partner in the future. "
