Keynote Topics and Speech Titles

I am often called to be a keynote speaker due to my extensive expertise in bridge building and addressing critical social issues.

I address four key issues: the status of women in Islam, the challenge of extremism, the rise of Islamophobia, and the challenge to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

By highlighting commonalities and grounding my approach in humanity, I provide practical insights and a strong call to action. My message of hope resonates with diverse audiences, empowering them to make a meaningful impact.

Women’s Unbridled Inner Power: The Red Boxing Gloves

My journey began with an unexpected catalyst: a pair of shiny red boxing gloves gifted by her father. These gloves have become a metaphor for breaking stereotypes, challenging societal norms, and promoting the idea that strength knows no gender. I remind women that this is not just about overcoming external challenges but also about embracing one’s inner strength.

My faith-based perspective brings moral gravitas to the discussion and articulates that the trajectory of women’s leadership—from Biblical times through the Suffragette movement to the #MeToo era— is intrinsically linked to women exercising their inner power, which when exercised, can create a ripple effect that transforms families, communities and societies.

I shed light on the often-overlooked nexus between religion and women’s status, providing an insightful perspective into the discourse on women’s roles in Muslim communities. Contrary to prevalent misconceptions, I explain how Islam has been a source of inspiration for positive social change for 1400 years.

Moving Beyond ‘Us vs. Them’ – Challenging Islamophobia

Few have been as affected by extremism as Muslims, and as a crucial voice in uniting people—especially women across faiths—I speak against this threat to peace. I emphasize that combating extremism and Islamophobia requires understanding their roots and recognizing that the true challenge lies within our own hearts and minds, not in divisions between ‘us and them.’

I urge audiences to ‘wise up and rise up’ by confronting extremist ideologies and challenging all forms of prejudice. My talks guide audiences on a transformative journey, starting with dismantling barriers and celebrating diversity as a strength. By promoting critical thinking, empathy, and cultural understanding, I help individuals focus on shared values and common goals.

My presentations are both informative and actionable, offering a vision and practical tools to build a future grounded in mutual respect and understanding.

American Muslim Identity: IslaMerica

In an era where American identity is constantly evolving, “Islamerica: American Muslim Identity” explores the intersection of Islam and American life. My talk examines how American Muslims navigate their dual identities, integrating Islamic values with American principles while confronting stereotypes and celebrating their rich traditions.

Drawing from personal experiences, historical contexts, and current events, I provide a nuanced perspective on being both American and Muslim. This talk offers insight into how American Muslims shape and are shaped by their identities, revealing their stories, struggles, and successful contributions to the American mosaic.

Harmony in Diversity: The United Faiths of America

In our pursuit of peace and coexistence, I address the crucial question: What kind of world do we want to live in? I highlight how growing mistrust, such as Islamophobia, perpetuates conflict. Central to my vision is interfaith collaboration, which honors the human dignity inherent in all of God’s creations. Symbols like the Cross, Crescent, Star, Khanda, Dharma Wheel, Om, and Nine-Pointed Star represent peace, tolerance, and America’s core values of religious freedom.

I emphasize that recognizing shared values—compassion, justice, respect, and truth—across different belief systems is essential. By focusing on these commonalities, we can rise above our differences, build understanding, and work together for the common good.
